Karndean racers gearing up for 24 hours in the saddle!

Karndean Employees, Steve Curry and Nick Powell are preparing to make cycling history by riding from London to Paris in just 24 hours, raising vital funds for Scope, the UK’s largest charity for Cerebral Palsy.

Steve Curry, Global Product Manager, for Karndean International comments on the challenge:
“The cycle route from London to Paris is a popular choice for charity fundraisers and usually takes four or five days. Never before has it been completed in 24 hours, so it’s a real challenge for us.”

Nick Powell, Finance Manager, for Karndean International continues:
“We have been training as much as possible; riding throughout the night with very little sleep is going to be tough but spirits will no doubt be high with the support of the other teams.”

Joining 98 other record book hopefuls, Steve and Nick will leave London’s Blackheath in the early hours of Friday 23rd July and cycle the 380 mile journey in two hour shifts, reaching the finish line underneath the Eiffel Tower exactly one day later.

The Karndean Racers have pledged to raise £1,800 for Scope’s work with sufferers of Cerebral Palsy. Karndean International has offered a donation towards the funds raised and wishes all the racers the best of luck.
